First Aid

First aid is the immediate medical assistance given to someone suffering from an accident, injury or illness – we can help ensure that you/your staff are trained and equipped to provide first aid.

Our First Aid and Health and Safety courses are regulated through Ofqual. Danny Ward has extensive experience in delivering First Aid and Health and Safety; he has faced real life situations in his career with the Fire Service and uses his knowledge to make these courses lively, realistic and memorable.

We deliver the following First Aid courses:

  • First Aid at work (3 day course)
  • Emergency First Aid at work (1 day course)
  • Paediatric First Aid (2 day course)
  • First Aid at work refresher (2 day course)
  • Defibrillator Training (1 day course)

We are continually adding new dates for these courses.   To book onto one of the following courses please ring Helen Lloyd on 01691 664 452 or email

The number of delegates per course has been reduced from 12 to 8 for the foreseeable future to allow for social distancing in the training room.

Onsite Training

As well as the courses above, which are held at The Marches School, Danny is also able to do on-site training if that suits your staff better.

First Aid Certifications for the Over 16s

The minimum age of delegates is 16 years old, which is ideal if you have a group of young people that would like to obtain a First Aid Qualification.  For example, here at The Marches we have put at least 10 groups of our VI Formers through over the past few years and it is a great addition for them to have this qualification on their CV.
