Your staff are the heart of your nursery or school. Apprenticeships are a cost-effective way to recruit new team members, develop existing staff and build a confident workforce for the future. With Best Practice Network, everything is made simple — from funding and recruitment to progression and recognition.
Early Years settings face real staffing challenges — from high turnover to rising recruitment costs. Apprenticeships are a powerful solution that help you:
An Early Years Practitioner (EYP) is responsible for implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum in various early years settings. These settings may include full day care, children’s centres, playgroups, pre-schools, nursery schools, reception classes and home-based provision.
The EYP Level 2 apprenticeship is a work-based programme completed over 12-14 months. It can be funded by the Apprenticeship Levy or co-funded by your employer and the Government. During this programme, you will gain hands-on experience in a professional setting while studying for your qualification through Off-the-Job training. Additionally, you will earn at least the Apprentice Minimum Wage.
