The NPQLTD programme is delivered over a 12 month period with 3 modules. At the end of the taught elements you will undertake a summative assessment.
Below is a breakdown of how the programme is delivered and the time commitment.
Formative assessment takes place throughout the programme, helping you understand the progress you are making, and facilitators to adapt your learning experiences.
Summative assessment takes the form of a 1500-word response to a case study, completed in a single 8-day window at the end of your programme. The assessment will give you the opportunity to demonstrate how you would deploy the knowledge, skills and understanding gained through the NPQ to lead and implement a specific aspect of change. For more information on assessments follow this link.
‘The skills learned not only are applicable to the whole school but also at a more nucleus level. It is making me slow down in my introduction of new practices / things and now consider the explore and prepare phase (even for something small) rather than dive straight in and expect things to get done. ‘
‘I believe that I have grown as a leader in terms of confidence and self-efficacy. My knowledge of science of learning has enabled me to voice the rationale behind my strategy confidentially to my department who seem to be very positive about the implementation of retrieval practice. ‘
