The Alliance of Leading Learning is one of the leading providers of Initial Teacher Training in the West Midlands.
National Professional Qualifications delivered to you wherever you are
The Alliance of Leading Learning are experienced in delivering NPQs to leaders in many international areas. The legacy NPQs have had participants from Beijing, Qatar, China, Macau and Malaysia successfully complete their NPQs. The provision of these programmes to international clients gives teachers a great opportunity to ensure that they are keeping up to date with best practice in the UK as well as developing their leadership skills for use in their current setting.
The newly reformed NPQs include five Specialist programmes and five Leadership programmes. The programme of learning is blended between webinars and self-guided learning. This works well with our international participants and gives you the scope to flexibly access the full programme online.
The next NPQH will launch in April 2025 with a lead into the programme with introductory webinars, guidance on using the portal and access to pre-reading in the lead up to your start. If you are interested in taking part please start your application or contact us for more information. We may deliver Specialist programmes and the NPQSL subject to demand. Its important to us that you feel part of viable cohort which will support you having a good experience.
The cost for the NPQH to International clients is £2450. As well as completing the full application process we ask that this is paid in full to LLSE prior to your start and full enrollment onto the programme.
You will study 4 modules over this 18 month programme. At the end of the programme you will take part in a summative assessment. Within each of the 4 modules you will have online learning to complete through the LLSE platform; you should allow between 1 and 2 hours per week to complete this learning.
For each module you will also be asked to attend 3 webinars.
We promise to provide you with a personalised service that will support you right the way through your NPQ from your application, completion of the content, the end of programme assessments and ultimately to receive your certification.

“Meaningful CPD in any context is crucial towards career progression. I felt this was more pertinent being based internationally, and particularly moving into senior leadership positions within education. This is why the blended online approach delivered by the Alliance for Leading Learning (ALL) was a perfect fit for me. It enabled me to engage with applicable leadership capabilities, strategies, and pedagogy, whilst maintaining UK standards; and ingrain my school based change management projects towards the NPQH qualification. Through a carefully structured delivery, the holistic approach ALL promoted — along with the personalised virtual tutorials and easy to navigate platform — there was a clear benefit for my professional growth that has broadened my ability to take on a headship in the future. If you are keen to add value to your own educational leadership experiences, the ALL provides an excellent opportunity and expertise to guide your journey to the next steps through their tailored NPQ programmes. ” Mr Shilen Tanna (NPQH) Epsom College in Malaysia
“My experience of undertaking the NPQH with the Alliance of Leading Learning was overwhelmingly positive. The staff and advisors were both supportive and knowledgable; as a team they were also flexible in terms of how I was able to conduct my assignments, in a COVID-19 affected world. The course itself, was challenging and helped me to reflect on how best to lead a school, particularly in times of challenge. I would highly recommend aspiring Heads in the U.K. and abroad, to undertake this course.” Adam Price (NPQH) Macau Anglican College
Kellett International School, Kowloon Bay, Hong Kong
Transformational Leadership Training
In 2016 Kellett School was recognised by the UK Department for Education as providing an ‘outstanding’ education for children overseas. Kellett was the first British International School to gain such recognition, with the ‘outstanding’ verdict. A core team of experts from The Alliance of Leading Learning visited Kellett International School and delivered a week-long transformational leadership training to over 30 members of senior staff. Geography and time zones apart, the learning journey for each delegate continued throughout the academic year by utilising creative and technological approaches. The bespoke face-to-face training was followed up and supported over a year-long programme through a professional tutor, one to one Skype tutorials, group video conferencing, conference calls and online support materials and guidance. Following a final visit to provide 1:1 coaching on the school improvement projects, all delegates on the programme successfully passed their National Professional Qualification and most importantly the projects they all undertook had measured impact on student performance. Here is some feedback:
‘I found the programme rewarding and inspiring. The facilitators were professional, knowledgeable and ensured a good balance of self-reflection, lecture time and group activities.”
“The facilitators were so personable and related everything in context to Kellett School.”
“It was a really inspiring course. The facilitators were knowledgeable and authentic. I feel that every area of my leadership has been challenged and I have already begun to make changes.”
“I cannot begin to tell you how positive the feedback has been to the delivery of the NPQML and NPQSL, both officially through your online survey and via continued anecdotes across the school, the words exemplary, inspirational and excellent are repeatedly spoken. Not only were all those involved most impressed with the manner, particularly the enthusiasm and passion with which the units were delivered there is also a genuine appreciation that you were willing to travel half way around the globe for us. Words alone seem hardly adequate to express all of our thanks. I know that you took great care in selecting your team for us, everyone did a fantastic job and Kellett could not have asked for more.” Ann Mc Donald Principal, Kellett International School
St Saviour’s School, Ebute Metta Nigeria
Leadership Training for Senior delegates hosted in the UK Building on our proven track record of bespoke leadership training, we identified the leadership training needs of St Saviour’s School and structured a week-long bespoke training programme. In this new programme for St Saviour’s we ensured there were opportunities for school leaders to engage in structured reflection, work based learning, peer debate and to identify future leadership actions.
The UK-based intensive programme invested in our new partnership to ensure high quality learning was underpinned by some of the best international research and latest educational thinking. The programme was designed to stimulate, challenge, provoke thinking, build skills and promote improvements in leadership behaviour. Participants also benefited from spending time in
our exemplary partner schools to see leadership skills in action as well as gain a deeper understanding of the demands and rigour of working in an outstanding British School.
“This training has provided my senior leaders with the opportunity to not only have a clearer understanding of their roles and responsibilities but to get to know themselves better as leaders to impact positively on school improvement and pupil progress. The training has met all our expectations and highlighted the need to build on this initial partnership. I believe we have only just scratched the surface as we plan further professional development of the senior leaders at St Saviour’s Ebute Metta. It is my hope
that initiatives such as this reach a wider audience in Nigeria, as we strive towards the best possible educational outcomes for our children.” Ailsa Griffiths, Headteacher, St Saviour’s
