As well as the courses below, which are held at The Marches School, Danny Ward (Our NUCO Accredited Trainer) is also able to do on-site training if that suits your staff better. It’s also worth noting that the minimum age of delegates is 14 years old, which is ideal if you have a group of young people that would like to obtain a Health & Safety qualification.
This course provides an ideal approach to safer and more effective manual handling – not only meeting HSE recommendations, but also good and safe practices in any situation.
This course is designed for all employees as an introduction to fire awareness. It deals with how fires can occur and what to do in the events of a fire. The qualification provides a foundation for those employees who want to develop their basic fire safety awareness in order to assist their employer by undertaking more specific fire safety roles in the workplace (e.g. as fire wardens/marshalls/stewards etc). Successful candidates will be awarded a national Level 1 qualification.
The course will cover the common causes of fire, the behaviour of fire, legislation and responsibilities, fire prevention, what to do if a fire breaks out, how to use fire extinguishers and emergency evaluation procedures.
This course is designed for employees who want to develop their basic fire awareness in order to assist their employer by undertaking more specific fire safety roles in the workplace to manage fire risk (e.g. as fire wardens/marshalls/stewards etc). Successful candidates will be awarded a national Level 2 qualification.
The course will cover the hazards and risks associated with the fire workplace, how fire risk is controlled in the workplace, the role of the nominated fire warden, the principles of fire safety management at work.
