Our national conferences continue to inspire school leaders and enable delegates from across the entire breadth of the education sector to access the most up-to-date educational research and developments.  See our video of our last conference here.

This year’s “Courageous Cultures” Conference dug deeper into how culture shapes our schools and how school leaders are courageous in the brave space of change.

The opening address for the Conference was given by our Conference Patron, Professor Mick Waters;  Mick has probably changed the culture of schools more profoundly than anyone in the past 20 years. He is a down-to-earth voice in the increasingly complex world of education. He regularly endears himself to school communities by talking the sort of sense they need to hear – in his renowned insightful, challenging and engaging manner.

Our keynote Speakers

The event was filled with inspiration and energy, thanks to the outstanding keynote speeches from Diana Osagie, Mick Waters, and Tom Sherrington. They shared invaluable insights on leadership, education, and innovation, setting the tone for a day of profound learning and growth.

Diana Osagie, one of the biggest trailblazers in educational leadership, working at the cutting edge of education and school improvement.  She is known as a resilient school leader, skilled in leadership under challenging circumstances and changing the way we lead.

Tom Sherrington inspires with his insightful and practical guidance on the latest thinking of leading practitioners.  His detailed knowledge of the workings of real classrooms, with examples from across the curriculum, continue to underpin the work of leaders in education.

Four Breakout Workshops

The day was designed for delegates to select from the sessions of most value. Our impressive headline workshop facilitators, along with Mick Waters, Diana Osagie and Tom Sherrington included:

Jeffrey Boakye – An ex-teacher turned writer, speaker and educator, known for weaving together complex issues of our time in an accessible and engaging way. With a particular interest in issues surrounding race, masculinity, education and popular culture, Jeffrey uses his charisma, energy and talent for the spoken and written word to write and educate.

These workshops left us feeling empowered and ready to implement new strategies in our educational environments.
